With the opportunity to join a company who fosters strong workplace relationships and values the importance of feedback, your new position as a LAME will see you performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Qantaslink’s fleet of Dash 8 and 717 aircraft. The role is located within Qantaslink Line Maintenance and is an integral part in ensuring on time performance for all our customers.
As the Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) you will be responsible for delivering quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard, while ensuring all OHS and safety compliance is adhered to. We’re a high performing team, and we each have the opportunity to add value and make an impact on the business. You would ensure that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the system of certification and to the highest standards of safety and quality. Being allocated tasks in accordance with the Procedures Manual and aircraft manufacturers Maintenance Manual requirements where you will perform rectification, servicing and maintenance of the QantasLink fleet aircraft and equipment.
To be considered for this role you will have:
Proven leadership capabilities and demonstrated ability to effectively supervise, coach and motivate teams.
Heavy/Line Maintenance experience on company and customer aircraft B1 or B2 Licence.
Hold an Australian Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence rated on Company aircraft in the Mechanical and/or Avionics category.
A current LAME qualification with experience in Line Maintenance.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively implement and manage change.
Sound commercial awareness, in particular how it may affect the daily operations.
Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement principles.
Proven problem-solving skills, particularly when under pressure.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within Qantas and other Customers, particularly in the operational areas.
Thorough understanding of Qantas maintenance procedures and quality requirements.
