Hedgeserv is in search of a skilled and adaptable Network Engineer to collaborate with peers in the US and Bulgaria in maintaining the network infrastructure. Responsibilities include overseeing internal networks encompassing computer, and firewall systems. The ideal candidate should possess a cooperative and supportive demeanor while demonstrating efficiency, alongside comprehensive expertise in networks, particularly emphasizing high-level design and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Determine network bandwidth needs and recommend measures to meet those requirements.
• Conduct network modeling and analysis to construct a reliable, high-performance integrated network.
• Maintain firewall and manage security policies.
• Define, document, and enforce system standards.
• Design, recommend and implement new solutions to improve the resilience of network operations.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems and outages.
• Schedule updates and upgrades.
• Engage in data network fault investigations.
• Secure network systems with policies that define and monitor access.

Requirements:

• Proficient in advanced networking across the OSI stack with in-depth expertise in TCP/IP protocols.
• Familiarity with a wide range of networking technologies including TCP, UDP, IP, BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, STP, RSTP, HSRP, MPLS, DMVPN, GRE, VRF, LAN, WAN, MAN, WLAN, PSTN, POTS, VPN, ACLs, QoS, Multicast, 802.1x, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, RADIUS, TACACS, and network management.
• Experience working with Windows OS, Cisco IOS, Cisco NXOS, and Palo Alto (PAN-OS) platforms.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, and familiarity with AWS and/or Azure is advantageous.
• Optional CCNP / CCIE routing and switching certification.
• Standard work hours from 9 AM to 6 PM with availability for after-hours support and participation in monthly on-call rotations.
• Proficiency in English is required.
