About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Indirect Sourcing Coordinator in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will need an understanding of key work processes across specific areas of Source to Pay for Indirect spend. Successfully execute against those processes and continually expand your working knowledge to deliver results. We are looking for someone with good communication skills (verbal as well as written), improve mindset and elevated level of initiative, motivation.
You will develop full proficiency in a range of tools and processes through job-related training and on-the-job experience. You will need to be able to apply knowledge of tools and processes to perform a range of work assignments. You need to understand how multiple teams coordinate efforts and resources to achieve objectives and be able to explain complex technical information to members of your own team and other teams.
Role:
- Provide the Source to Pay (StP) organization with the needed information to manage SAP vendor and price agreements. Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and STP to resolve pricing and APAY (Accounts Payable) issues.
- Manage various workflows including but not limited to the Service Now, CMT (Change Management Tool); Zycus updates, Supplier Index Pricing; Working Capital Exceptions, Forecasting.
- Provides sourcing support by working with business partners to clarify requirements for new and existing purchases to support the Strategic Sourcing Process (SSP).
- The use of system and market data to identify value opportunities. Utilizes electronic sourcing tools to support the SSP process
- Manages tactical sourcing activities sourcing, data management, special projects, and client service.
- Creates value by providing fast, accurate, implementation of tactical sourcing activities.
- Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and determines the appropriate approach for new assignments.
- Is responsible to provide solutions to operational or analytical problems using established procedures and practices.
- Will serve as informal resource on analytical, scientific method, or operational processes for less experienced team members.
- Your performance impacts the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of your own work and your team’s work. You will receive supervision on new complex assignments.
- Resolves process or supplier issues as escalated from the StP Organization, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Engineering teams.
Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities Indirect Sourcing Coordinator will be responsible for in this role include:
- Provides the needed information and enters new and/or updated contract agreements, Pos, Framework Orders and vendor codes in SAP.
- Ensures SAP contract agreements are created or updated and monitors compliance with Delegation of Authority (DOA) guidelines.
- Ensures suppliers are created or updated in the Vendor Master Database in compliance with the applicable processes.
- Works with data and upload accurately and timely into the system
- Utilizes visualization tools like Power BI to expedite their work process.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots data disconnects between the Suppliers and Systems, which impact the end-to-end process.
- Resolves process or supplier issues as escalated from the Procure to Pay (PtP), Supply Chain
- Has a high knowledge base of procurement process, purchasing policies, negotiation strategies and tactics is needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Relevant Discipline)
- 2-5 years relevant work experience with understanding of End to End Purchasing Process
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (MS Word, Power Point, Microsoft Excel etc)
- Hand-on experience with SAP (or similar ERP), Ariba and Zycus is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI
- Advanced excel proficiency e.g. Macros, pivots, charting and power queries etc.
- Basic knowledge of Service Now (or similar tool)
- Exposure to Chemical Industry or other manufacturing companies
- Awareness to Six Sigma, Lean principles
