What we're looking for:

Memac Ogilvy Jordan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, reporting, and audits. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial management principles.

 

To Succeed in This Role, You Need To:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
    • Monitor and report on budget variances, providing explanations and corrective actions where necessary.
  • Audit and Compliance:
    • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and readily available.
    • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
    • Manage working capital and optimize cash flow.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve business performance and profitability.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Provide guidance and training to finance staff on financial processes and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
    • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance management role, preferably in a multinational company.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and audit practices.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
