Supplier Governance Senior Manager
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support Amgen sponsored clinical trials with a focus on key programs within Global Development Operations. You will provide leadership, contribute to supplier strategy and drive supplier delivery of program priorities. You will also support our study teams and key stakeholders to optimize clinical trial execution with our suppliers. We support our clinical trials around the world. Potentially up to 20% travel domestic and/or international.
Advise on supplier strategy and ensure appropriate supplier oversight for designated programs
Effectively partner with study management, medical, quality and other key stakeholders to proactively plan and execute supplier qualification to meet program needs
Build and maintain strong relationships with key cross functional leaders to understand and translate business objectives and priorities
Liaise with governance leads to establish appropriate oversight of Amgen program portfolio with suppliers
Lead the development and implementation of program level standards and processes with suppliers as needed
Support study startup and conduct with suppliers potentially including activities such as sourcing and scope of work development
Partner with program leads to align across program execution
Ensure clear communication pathways (internal and external)
Develop metrics and tools to support oversight and provide visibility to senior management
Partner with supplier and Amgen to drive continuous improvement and innovation
Collaborate with R&D Quality on inspections readiness

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Clinical experience
Masters degree and 4 years of Clinical experience
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Clinical experience
Associate's degree and 10 years of Clinical experience
High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Clinical experience
BS/BA/BSc in the sciences or RN
9 years of work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 6 years of biopharmaceutical clinical research experience (clinical research experience obtained working on clinical trials at a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company)
Experience working with and/or oversight of clinical research suppliers (e.g. CROs, central labs, Imaging , eCOA, IRT, etc.)
Experience managing direct reports
Experience working in a global, matrix organization
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA regulations and guidelines, and international regulatory requirements/guidelines
Project management experience
Proficiency in proactive issue management
Experience writing and presenting clearly to Senior Management
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, supervisory skills
Professional collaboration and leadership skills

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
