The IT Communications Lead, under general supervision, will play a key role in shaping and disseminating strategic communication to promote our firm's IT projects, services, and other key messages to the broader organization.

The specialist should understand how technology impacts organizational processes and be able to communicate technical changes to non-technical stakeholders. 

Strong project management abilities are crucial. The specialist will coordinate change initiatives, track progress, and ensure timely implementation. 

Analyzing

data related to change initiatives helps assess their impact. Proficiency in tools like Excel or data visualization software is beneficial.

 

Change can be challenging, and the specialist must remain adaptable and resilient. They should handle resistance and setbacks effectively. 

Understanding the organization’s culture, values, and dynamics helps tailor change strategies accordingly. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate the production of various communication materials.

  • Create content (e.g., presentations, emails, talking points, FAQs, intranet pages, etc.) for internal audiences, ensuring the message is clear, accurate and engaging.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IT communications.

  • Excel as a communicator with strong presentation skills and compelling storytelling abilities, able to explain complex topics and convince all stakeholders to act.

  • Exhibit well-rounded interpersonal skills, working in a highly cross-functional environment, developing strong relationships, and influencing stakeholders.

Skills and Experience: 

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a professional services or business sector environment; ideally with some understanding of law firms

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, Communications, or related field.

  • Self-starter with excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

  • Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative idea

  • Hands-on experience using all programs under the Microsoft Suite (including direct experience with PowerPoint and advanced functions within Excel)
