We are in search of a Site Lead  to join the Broadside program.  As a Site Lead, you will serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for the technical team. The Site Lead will interface daily with multiple system owners, engineers and technical teams to ensure that Customer-specific requirements are translated into solutions that meet the Customer’s mission needs. This position is responsible for providing expertise and guidance for site operations as well as support for mission network and system modernization. The Site Lead will support deployment of modernized IT capabilities and be responsible for overseeing the transformation of Leidos modernized enterprise solutions into base operations.

Qualified candidates will have a strong technical background sufficient to understand the Government's requirements, and work closely with the Government and Leidos leadership to facilitate effective planning and accomplishment of mission objectives in a timely manner.

In addition to developing solutions, you will help the Government customer understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical capabilities, features and transformation strategies and engage in proof of concepts.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the overall health and wellness of the team.
  • Guides, trains, and manages lower-level management and supervisors.
  • Oversees daily operations, manages budgets, and sets performance objectives.
  • Recruits, trains, and supports senior leadership as well as conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Manages internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts.
  • Plans, evaluates, and optimizes operations to be efficient and cost-effective.
  • Ensures that products and services comply with regulatory and quality standards, and that internal standards and procedures are followed.
  • Prepares and presents monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for all operations and maintenance activities.
  • Resolves escalated customer issues and incident reports.
  • Coordinates network operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Determines specific network hardware or software requirements, such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas.
  • Develops and implements the following:
    • Solutions for network problems.
    • Business plans to meet organizational objectives.
    • Conceptual, logical, or physical network designs, ensuring requirements are met.
    • Procedures to track and report network availability, reliability, capacity, or utilization.
    • Network security measures, such as firewalls, network security audits, or automated security probes.

  • Estimates time and materials needed to complete projects.
  • Monitors network performance and data input/output reports to detect problems, identify inefficient use of computer resources, or perform capacity planning.
  • Participates in network technology upgrade or expansion projects.
  • Research and tests new or modified hardware or software products to determine performance and interoperability.
  • Liaisons with vendors to address system issues, gather information about products, and discuss future needs.
  • Coordinates the installation of new equipment.
  • Designs, organizes, and delivers product awareness, skills transfer, and product education sessions for staff and suppliers.
  • Explains design specifications to integration and/or test engineers.
  • Develops plans or budgets for network equipment replacement.
  • Prepares design presentations and proposals for staff or customers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar field
  • BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience lead information systems and network operations teams
  • Must have strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and people skills
  • Demonstrate poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
  • Must have experience in operation of large communications networks.
  • Experience in analysis and the ability to generate reports using various tools is required.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Demonstrated experience with a Government Customer, and/or prior military experience
  • Prior technical roles within similar organizations with growing duties and responsibilities

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
