CACI is seeking to hire a CSfC DevOps Engineer. This person will assume a pivotal role in refining and automating CACI’s suite of Archon Secure solutions. This position involves being a product owner who will focus on enhancing the software development and upkeep of existing and future technological solutions. The role entails a thorough analysis of current product offerings, followed by the development of solutions aimed at bolstering security, operational efficiency, deployment strategies, and the integration of new features. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a highly skilled technical team comprised of solution engineers and developers. This team will collaborate closely to modify and author new code to align with the evolving needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Tasked with a detailed examination of the existing Archon solutions with the aim of devising and implementing enhanced procedures and methodologies to optimize their performance within the strict parameters of a U.S. Government technology framework. This process will involve a thorough evaluation of the current systems, followed by the formulation of strategic steps and operational processes designed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness while adhering to the stringent security and compliance standards mandated by the U.S. Government.
  • Responsible for operating and crafting playbooks for various automation platforms, such as Red Hat Ansible, NTS Mantle, and HashiCorp Terraform. This role involves a deep understanding of these platforms and their capabilities, allowing the engineer to create detailed and effective playbooks that automate and streamline various tasks and processes within the organization. The playbooks will be designed to enhance operational efficiency, minimize manual intervention, and ensure consistency in the deployment and management of infrastructure and applications across the organization.
  • Play a critical role in developing playbooks that directly support tactical warfighter operations use cases, particularly those involving mission communications kits. This involves creating detailed and highly specialized playbooks that are tailored to the unique needs and challenges of the warfighter on the ground. These playbooks will focus on automating and optimizing the deployment, configuration, and management of mission communications kits, ensuring that they are fully operational and ready for use in a wide range of operational scenarios. By doing so, the CSfC DevOps Engineer will contribute significantly to the effectiveness and readiness of tactical warfighter operations.

This role requires a deep understanding of the organization's technology stack, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Tasked with designing innovative solutions and establishing operational baselines that are tailored to meet the specific needs of the organization, while also taking into account the inherent limitations of the existing equipment and technologies. This role involves a deep understanding of the organization's current technology stack, as well as the operational requirements and constraints that must be considered in the design process. The engineer will be responsible for developing creative solutions that optimize the use of available resources, enhance operational efficiency, and support the organization's strategic goals, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Adopt a DevOps approach to conduct in-depth research, make strategic recommendations, and oversee the construction and maintenance of a diverse and intricate array of computer networks and servers. This approach emphasizes collaboration between development and solution engineering, aiming to streamline the process of building, testing, and deploying software. The engineer will be responsible for planning and coordinating these activities, ensuring that all components of the IT infrastructure are designed, implemented, and managed in a manner that meets the organization's strategic objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of network and server technologies, as well as the ability to manage complex projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Be a self-motivated, proactive individual who possesses the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role requires a high degree of initiative, as the engineer will be expected to identify areas for improvement, propose solutions, and drive the implementation of these solutions without constant supervision. The ability to multitask effectively is essential, as the engineer will often be required to juggle a variety of complex projects and responsibilities, all while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency. This role demands strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in order to meet deadlines and achieve organizational goals.
