About The Job


Red Hat’s Global Learning Services (GLS) team is looking for a Business Affairs Analyst to join its global business development team. The business affairs analyst will be responsible for leveraging their analytical expertise, contracts and legal experience, sales support, and project management experience to support the GLS business development mission of growing global GLS revenue and operating margin. In this role, you will manage key project and programs, analyze key activities and processes, recommend and create processes, guidelines and tools for improving efficiency and performance of GLS sales teams, and work with the global business development leader and Red Hat legal to create contracts and other legal terms/documents to support the sale of Red Hat learning products. This is a key role in helping to improve the sales and business process of GLS, and the Business Affairs Analyst will be a center of excellence for analysis, project management, contracts and process, and sales workflow improvement.


What You Will Do

• Partner with GLS business development leadership and Red Hat Legal to manage the GLS legal process, including: drafting agreement templates; writing terms and conditions for our training policies and promotions; working with the privacy team to draft privacy policy for GLS projects; manage the GLS legal documents repository; other legal tasks
• Provide analytical, process, and program support for key GLS business initiatives including new product launches, new programs, platforms, and sales processes
• Create programs and communications to evangelize GLS value and offerings across key internal and partner sales teams
• Manage the GLS sales and marketing promotions process, including submissions, approval workflow, and reporting on promotions and their success
• Manage the lead management council and execute the associated lead management workflows for lead engage days, reporting on lead and rep performance, coordination with marketing on all processes and campaigns
• Manage the GLS SKU process, including SKU creation, approval process, tracking, and retirement
• Work with operations, sales teams, order management, and IT to understand, evaluate, and improve sales processes to reduce inefficiency and barriers in the processes
• Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with business partners, including Business Intelligence, Legal, Market Development, Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to deliver key business insights using meaningful analyses

What You Will Bring

• 6+ years combined experience in sales analysis, contracts, and project management
• Excellent project management skills and experience in managing complex projects across a matrixed organization
• High proficiency with Smartsheet work management platform is required
• Extensive experience with Salesforce.com, including creating dashboards and reporting is preferred
• Outstanding Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills are required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver key information in both summary and detailed formats as required
• Prior experience with Tableau software is preferred
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of self-discipline and self-direction and limited supervision is a must
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling many projects and responsibilities with the ability to re-prioritize effectively on the fly
• Proven ability to build and nurture relationships across multiple departments
• Flexibility to work outside of business hours, early and late, to collaborate with key Red Hat and partner personnel in international locations
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred; an MBA is a plus.  A PMP certification is a plus

The salary range for this position is $74,900.00 - $119,830.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
