Job Description

Dow’s business communicators are strategic integrated marketing practitioners with deep content and channel expertise who develop and implement campaigns that engage current and potential customers and other relevant stakeholder audiences.  We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Communications Specialist, located in Singapore.

About You

In this role, you will partner with a multi-disciplinary team across marketing, public affairs, sales, product development and T&SD to advance APAC’s innovation, value chain and sustainability strategic pillars and helps position and promote Dow products and services in support of business growth strategies and priorities. You will deploy marketing communications strategies that deliver key content/stories through multiple channels, integrated marketing, trade shows and experiential events. You will also support communications efforts and strategic counsel for business leaders, developing and implementing messaging for our overall business strategy.

Also, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Manage implementation of B2B marketing segment strategy and plans that align with business plans and employ audience-appropriate channel mixes. 
  • Manage planning process and strategic counsel for regional and global market areas.
  • Cross-function collaborative management with regional business leaders with a focus on business segments, marketing, branding, digital and content, GA, public affairs, legal etc., and aligned to global teams
  • Develop, manage, and deliver content that engages target audiences.  This includes message development, writing and storytelling content development and channel delivery.
  • Have a heavy focus on external project implementation across channels – earned media, owned, social and paid.  
  • Digital content management across key channels
  • Support our business reputation against potential marketing /advertising standard and issues
  • Budget support for content, channel, speaking opportunities and stakeholder/KOL partnerships
  • Deliver stakeholder/KOL identification, mapping, and engagement across APAC – in partnership with in-country GA/PA teams
  • Manage business communications/market segment outcomes measurement, feeding findings and recommendations back to communications and marketing planning.  Analyze program trends and counsels marketing leaders on best practices, channel selection and other strategic insight.

Your knowledge, skills & abilities include:

  • Ability to work with a variety of cultures, functions, and businesses, along with the skills to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, prioritizing a diverse range of projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • An appetite to understand b2b and business communications and relevant issues around our industries
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, problem-solving, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to embracing inclusion and diversity, outside-in thinking, creativity, value-add mentality, personal development, confidence in capabilities and clarity in priorities and expectations.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 6 – 8 years’ experience in business and marketing communications etc.
  • At least 2 years’ agency and consultancy with b2b, events, communications, social media


Your preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s in communications, digital marketing, advertising, strategic planning, marketing, journalism or other related fields
