Role Summary:
Accountable for delivering growth in an assigned vertical through Marketing planning and activities including new product launches and developing customer value propositions (CVPs) for products in co-ordination with R&T, creating growth plans by working in close coordination with the Customers, R&T, Sales and Production teams, developing and executing Product CVP communication in form of various Marketing material as well as executing Brand and Product visibility and engagement at various relevant exhibitions and conferences.
Roles and Responsibility:
• Responsible for end-to-end management of products in assigned vertical such as technical product literature preparation, packaging, inputs on pricing, product promoting tools & enablers preparation etc.
• Assess and track continuously the coherence and relevance of the product portfolio and range for own vertical with existing and future customer needs in order to propose course corrections for guaranteeing consolidation, development and increased market share
• Track sales and margin growth trends; adjust strategies and materials to improve sales with new target markets
• Recommend pricing/discount strategies for assigned vertical for approval by senior management
• Identify opportunities for new product development and existing product enhancement from insights generated during the previous development cycle and post launch response
• Work closely with NPD and production teams to prepare product launch strategy (introduction pricing, roll out pilots, follow up with supply chain, production issues) and implement the same going forward
• Conduct market assessment for VOC & to confirm market potential based on market acceptance and develop functional specification within the Ashirvad context through consumer/competitor analysis and distribution/ Key account analysis
• Gather information on market trends and competitor product range / sale prices / distribution channels / market shares, assess competitor strategies for existing products and identify potential opportunities & threats within own vertical; Prepare periodical reports for comparison and present to senior management
• Liaise with sales teams & market to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
• Provide recommendations to Marketing Heads and Sales Heads on product category specific prioritisation of the markets, applications and products that provide greatest sustainable growth opportunities
• Interact with Global team and strategies the global product launch suitable for Indian Market based on the market need
Role Specific Competencies:
• Product Management/Category Management or related field preferably in the manufacturing industry handling B2B customers
• Proven track record of developing and introducing new products and managing a product portfolio
