THE WORK:

• Process Control Networks (LAN/WAN/Security/Wireless) at a Senior experience level delivered from our WA office.

• The position involves:

  • designing, staging, testing and supporting industrial network projects during the design, build, commissioning and operations phase.

  • provide consulting services for clients.

  • Deliver high quality technical work to successfully execute changes in technology infrastructure.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 7+ years experience with Industrial Network Engineering

• Practical experience in the configuration, development, operations and implementation of any of the following hardware products in the Industrial / Mining / Resource industry would be desirable:

  • Cisco (required), Ruggedcom, Hirschmann / Connexium, Moxa, Stratix

• Technical Requirements (Experience in one or more the following):

  • TCP/IP Process Control Systems Networks (Modbus TCP and Ethernet/IP protocols),

  • Layer 2 and 3 switching and routing,

  • Firewalls / ISE,

  • redundant communications (RSTP, MRP and REP), 

  • Network Architecture Design,

  • Wireless networking routing & switching,

  • NMS (Network Management Systems),

  • QoS,

  • Software Defined Networking (SDN),

  • LTE Networking,

  • CCTV and VoIP,

  • Hyper-V / VMware Technologies

  • Dell Architectures

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

• Understanding in the application of Australian Standards and industry conventions. – Mining or Ports Sector in particular

• Developed skills in the development of technical documents.

• Analytical troubleshooting skills.

• Well-developed interpersonal skills.

• Practical Site experience of network systems (commissioning and fault-finding experience essential)
