JR51094 Program Manager

Micron Program Management Office (PMO) is hiring for a Program Manager (PM) position to manage Non-Volatile Memory (NAND and NOR Flash) products and programs. 

As a Micron PMO PM, you will be joining an exciting and diverse organization. A PMO PM is responsible for the development of NAND, mNAND and SSD products from the planning stage through qualification and product ramp in accordance with Micron’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process. In this position, the individual will also be responsible for achieving the program targets captured in the project release document (schedule, quality, costs, manufacturing readiness and budget), and for directing the Product Development Team (PDT).

The scope of responsibility for this position includes:

Program Management & Strategic Direction

  • Establish and direct cross-functional Product Development Teams covering New Product Introduction (NPI) and mature products
  • Capture product requirements in close cooperation with the Business Unit (BU) representatives
  • Drive process alignment and product development targets with Engineering, R&D and BU
  • Set and maintain program objectives and priorities
  • Work with the Supply Chain representatives on a sample delivery plan for engineering and qualification samples
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Define, maintain, and track program milestones, schedules, status, and objectives
  • Identify, understand, and mitigate program risk
  • Provide guidance and leadership for effective and timely resolution of problems
  • Collaborate with stakeholder organizations to resolve conflict and drive action and decision making
  • Dialogue with local and global counterparts on program priorities
  • Manage and resolve program escalations
  • Provide effective change request management
  • Actively participate in program stage gate reviews
  • Drive product qualification and ramp as well as hand-off to Manufacturing/Supply Chain
  • Provide regular program report-outs reviews to stakeholders and management-chain

Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a team environment of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Identify and propose solutions for areas for improvement
  • Manage and continuously improve program and development processes
  • Identify and highlight potential program or process gaps and work with stakeholders to address them
  • Lessons learned workshops to ensure proliferation of knowledge and best practices across the company

Communication

  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with a global team to achieve program KPI success
  • Maintain a consistent level of communication with Product Managers, Product Leads, and Management on project status
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all program related inquiries and issues
  • Ensure program status and objectives are clearly understood by all relevant stakeholders

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field
  • Previously worked in a Program Management function
  • Knowledge in project and program management fundamentals and PM tools and techniques
  • Have 5+ years of experience in semiconductor engineering with preference for candidates with memory/storage product development background
  • Ability to drive complex development projects with cross-functional, global teams
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly analyze and process data and information to formulate actions
  • Excellent presentation skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely
  • Able to travel internationally if required
