Job Summary

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join TYLin’s Philippines Bridge Sector. This is a regular-full time position supporting Bridge projects including the BCIB and additional projects in the United States.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Work with diverse disciplines in horizontal and vertical structural design delivery, including but not limited to structural, civil, environmental, social, finance, and economics.

  • Coordinate with clients and overseas TYLin offices and partners as well as local associates.

  • Review engineering design, plans, specifications, and estimates following applicable design codes.

  • Working knowledge of codes such as ASBI, PCI, AASHTO, ACI, AISC, etc.

  • Assist in ensuring that drawings, calculations, and designs follow company production and design standards and strengths and follow Quality Assurance and Control procedures.

  • Assist in the preparation of project data for schedules, and assist in preparing schedules and budgets to monitor progress reports.

  • Ability to provide quality control/quality assurance to ensure deliverables are of high quality and on-time.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required; Masters preferred.

  • Must be a registered professional engineer in the Philippines or a member of International Engineering Charters or Organizations.

  • 4+ years’ experience in the design of steel and concrete buildings.

  • Familiarity with special seismic provisions and steel connection design provisions of the Philippine and AISC codes.

  • Shall have solid project management skills, client relationship management, and adept in vertical and horizontal engineering principles and code.

  • Requires knowledge of engineering principals and industry standards.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.

  • Travel may be required.

  • Must possess communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective project team collaboration and relationship building.
