Position Summary:

Rotex, a world leader in industrial separation equipment, is seeking to fill a position for a Development Engineer in our Product Development group.  The person in this role will be responsible for developing new products that support the Rotex business strategy. This person will utilize the product development stage gate process to meet delivery commitments and bring new products to market in a timely manner.

Work You’ll Do:

  • Receives general directions regarding objectives and exercises discretion in accomplishment of projects
  • Collaborates with the R&D team and Design Engineering to execute Finite Element Analysis and Design work as per technical needs.
  • Upgrades 3D models and drawings as instructed
  • Demonstrates full competency in one or more engineering areas
  • Identifies critical design process steps that lack proper documentation and leads efforts to create the necessary materials for the organization.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Basic Qualifications:

BE Mechanical Engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience 2-4 years with Machine design knowledge

  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes (Preferable Sheetmetal)
  • Strong skills in FEA (Structural and CFD – preferably ANSYS), 3D modeling (preferably SolidWorks), and ERP software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Good working knowledge of project management techniques
  • High problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to work cross-culturally
  • Oral Communication - Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Participate in meetings.
  • Written Communication - Write clearly and informatively; Present numerical data effectively
  • Initiative - Volunteer readily; Undertake self-development activities; Take independent actions and calculated risks; Look for and take advantage of opportunities; Ask for and offer help when needed.
  • Mathematical Skills -Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
