The ESG Expert’s work is important in navigating the complex landscape of global regulations and societal expectations. They play a key role in developing and executing programs that address critical issues such as climate change, social equity, and corporate accountability. As a result, they help the company to mitigate risks, attract and retain talent, and secure investor confidence by demonstrating a clear commitment to ESG principles. Ultimately, the ESG Expert elevates the company’s reputation and contributes to its long-term viability, making this role indispensable in today’s business world.
 

Key responsibilities:

  • ESG Strategy Development and Implementation: Craft and oversee comprehensive policies and procedures that align with global sustainability goals and regulatory requirements. Actively contribute to the development and implementation of the global ESG strategy.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company’s adherence to the new CSRD regulation, including reporting and disclosure obligations. Follow the changes in the regulatory frameworks.

  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential environmental and social risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on ESG performance metrics, making recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Cross-Regional Coordination: Work closely with regional teams to implement ESG initiatives and ensure consistency in practices and reporting.

  • Community Program Leadership: Lead the Bippers4Community programs, BippupTeams, and BipupTime programs on a global scale.

  • Foundation Management: Lead and manage the Infobip Foundation, including financial administration, regulatory reporting, and leading monthly meetings.

  • Regional CSR Management: Manage the regional CSR groups and provide support throughout the year with the aim of increasing social impact contribution in the regions.

  • Global ESG Program Leadership: Lead various global ESG programs and projects as required with continued business growth.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders about the company’s ESG performance and goals.

  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to employees on ESG-related matters to foster a culture of sustainability.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in meeting the ESG objective and increasing brand awareness on a global level.

  • Cultural Adaptation: Adapt messaging and initiatives as required according to local business conditions and cultural context.

  • Brand Promotion: Identify brand building opportunities to promote the brand through strategic and social initiatives on a global level (e.g., media relations events and deliverables suitable for print, digital, electronic, and broadcast media).

  • External Representation: Find opportunities and represent the Infobip brand externally.

  • Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in English and Croatian, enabling effective communication in a multilingual setting.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Corporate Governance, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in ESG strategy development and implementation within a global organization.

  • Familiarity with international ESG standards and frameworks.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
