Summary Job Description:

Leads a product portfolio with P&L and revenue growth responsibility. Sets product strategy and monitors customer feedback to ensure product roadmap includes the right set of priorities and objectives. Partners with regional leaders, sales, product management and product service to manage growth initiatives. Serves as a subject matter expert in the insurance field. Develops and communicates DXC’s product vision to the customer community, analysts, and internal stakeholders. Participates in planning and execution and works in a cross functional environment to own the product. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver software solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and priorities.

  • Ensure project delivery on time and within budget, mitigating risks and issues.

  • Mentor and develop team members to foster growth and innovation, providing regular feedback and coaching.

  • Contribute to the development of the software engineering strategy and vision.

  • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices.

  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and task assignments.

  • Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Typically, 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 4 years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering

  • Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies

  • Strong programming and debugging skills

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, leading teams and projects

  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices

  • Excellent communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skill

  • Ability to prioritize and align software development with business objectives Proven experience in successful project delivery

  • Fluency in French (Essential)

Other Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field is a plus

  • Relevant certifications or training are a plus
