Job Description:

Do you want to join a growing team in a high-performance culture that provides leadership and technical development opportunities? We are currently searching for a talented and driven individual to join our Global Reinsurance team within our MBPS Actuarial Function. The role is accountable for handling policy maintenance and requests for death claim reimbursement of reinsured policies. Global Reinsurance supports Asia, Canada, and the U.S., from mail indexing to disbursements back-office transactions.

MBPS is officially registered as Manulife Data Services, Inc. but with an official trade name of Manulife Business Processing Services. MBPS is a Global Shared Service Centre providing Administrative Services, Professional Services, Finance, Investments, Contact Center, Claims, New Business and Underwriting, Actuarial, Legal & Compliance, and Digital Information Services to Manulife Companies around the world. MBPS is headquartered in Quezon City, Philippines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for business projects working independently on small projects and supporting larger projects meeting time and quality targets.
  • Support workflow analysis, define user requirements,
  • Prepare, maintain, and update procedures, and comprehensive documentation for the administrative processes developed/implemented
  • Prepare training materials and provide training on a one-on-one basis.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues quickly.
  • Understand all aspects of supporting development projects
  • Estimate time to complete tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Balance operational and project assignments.
  • Keep abreast of changing business needs.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of demonstrated experience in developing business requirements. Candidates with more experience will be considered for the Senior Business Analyst role.
  • Amenability to work on hybrid work set up of 3x a week onsite and 2x a week work from home on day shift work schedule.
  • Ability to conduct interviews to determine business needs and specifications.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills to win support for new initiatives while building on relationships with the business units.
  • Good knowledge and prior experience on user acceptance testing of small projects.
