Role and Responsibilities

Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) business spans a complex portfolio of innovative products and services across Smartphone, Tablet, PC, Smartwatch, Buds, Smart Ring, Samsung Health, Samsung Wallet and more – all powered by the groundbreaking Galaxy AI technology.

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, data-driven Senior Director of Integrated Media Strategy, Activation and Measurement to lead the holistic media investment strategy, planning of integrated media campaigns and activation across channels, partners, platforms in the US.

This role will be responsible for delivering annual, quarterly and campaign specific media strategies, plans and partner programs as well as being a cross-functional leader building integrated communication strategy and go-to-market across paid, owned and earned media with multiple teams – Product Marketing, Brand Marketing and Creative, E-commerce, Channel Marketing

This leader will oversee a critical team within US Mobile Marketing responsible for Paid Media, Performance Marketing, Integrated Media programs, Media Measurement and Analytics.

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Lead, develop and grow a team spanning Paid Media, Performance Marketing, Media Go-to-Market and Activation, Measurement and Analytics, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and data-driven media strategy, planning and execution.
    • Lead and upgrade the media agency structure with effective communication, performance management to deliver high quality strategy, execution, measurement.
    • Own and expand strategic partnerships with key platforms (Google, Meta, Reddit, Spotify, X, etc) and publishers.
  • Integrated media and communications strategy and planning
    • Develop, own and activate marketing investment strategy and KPIs.
    • Deliver a comprehensive strategy to plan, allocate and activate marketing and media investment to drive brand differentiation and preference, customer acquisition and loyalty, increased engagement and conversion rates.
    • Deliver a new comprehensive audience strategy across the customer journey and lifecycle in partnership to maximize acquisition and retention.
    • Deliver Media annual, quarterly and campaign-level planning, execution, analysis.
    • Deliver and implement a comprehensive Media + Creative communications plan, with regular analysis and reporting of creative effectiveness and insights.
  • Media Go-to-Market and Activations           
    • Deliver a new approach to annual, quarterly and monthly integrated media activations spanning product launches, seasonal and cultural moments, and media tentpoles.
    • Develop, execute and analyze full-funnel campaigns and custom media programs.
    • Own and guide the team in delivering paid + owned + earned media 360-degree plans for product launches and tentpole moments.
    • Performance Marketing. Partner with E-Commerce and Samsung.com teams to right-size and activate traffic and conversion focused plans and media channel strategy.
  • Strategic Analysis and Reporting
    • Develop and implement a new robust measurement framework to connect media measurement and marketing performance to business outcomes (sales, revenue.
    • Analyze, distribute and present all reporting to leadership while being able to clearly and concisely communicate program and channel performance and progress against goals in a cross-functional setting.
    • Support the Marketing leadership with planning and forecasting of all paid media.
  • Innovation and Optimization:
    • Continuously explore and evaluate new media channels, technologies, and strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness and drive innovation.
    • Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, optimize campaigns in real-time, and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.
    • Champion a culture of experimentation and learning with a "test and learn" approach.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DTC and Carrier/Partner teams, to ensure integrated and cohesive marketing campaigns.
    • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing clear and concise updates on campaign performance, insights, and recommendations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 14+ years of experience in strategic media, integrated go-to-market, digital and growth.
  • Track record of leading integrated media and go-to-market for a complex product portfolio.
  • Ability to translate large-scale media investment into successful integrated campaigns and activations that bring media, creative and partnerships together for impact.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. Experience managing large budgets with the ability to explain investment allocation tied to short- and long-term business growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage senior executives.
  • A positive “all-hands-on-deck” attitude and willingness to get the job done. Ability to balance setting the strategy AND rolling up your sleeves with the team and agency partners.
  • Strong understanding and proficiency with eCommerce and marketing platforms.
  • Ability to dissect large amounts of data into clear opportunities for marketing and business.
  • Able to pivot strategically based on campaign and channel performance.
  • Ability to lead external media agencies and partners to deliver the highest quality of strategy, plans, measurement, attribution to the business (sales, revenue).
