Job Summary
• This role is responsible for leading functional project teams, and guiding them to embed quality requirements, processes, and practices throughout the lifecycle of product development. The role ensures rigorous evaluation of product designs and production activities, and reduces failure risks. The role leverages advanced subject matter knowledge to drive innovation, integrate cutting-edge technologies, and champion quality initiatives across various projects.

Responsibilities
• Leads functional project teams of other quality engineers and internal and outsourced development and manufacturing partners.
• Leads the team in design and integration of quality requirements, processes, and practices into the development, design, manufacturing, and continuous improvement of products and solutions.
• Expands relationships with internal and outsourced partners for quality, product manufacturing and development.
• Reviews and evaluates product and solution designs and production activities for potential quality issues.
• Provides tangible feedback based on results and root-cause analysis and implements solutions to improve product quality and mitigate risk of failures.
• Performs overall tracking and reporting of various quality related performance metrics.
• Provides domain-specific expertise and product engineering leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing engineering organization.
• Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, and contributes to other complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.
• Provides mentoring and guidance to less-experienced staff members to set an example of quality engineering design and development, innovation, and excellence.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in quality assurance, reliability, or a related field.

The base pay range for this role is $102,500 to $157,850 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
