GEICO is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Legal Business Intelligence Coordinator in the Legal Department primarily to support our analytics/reporting needs.  The role will produce data visualizations or reporting and requires expertise in information analysis, a strong ability to conceptualize and produce data-driven stories, and experience in managing large datasets within digital platforms. Due to the sensitivity of the data content, a high level of integrity and discretion is required to ensure confidentiality.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze legal data, identify patterns, and extract meaningful conclusion to support legal or business strategies and decision-making.

  • Develop data preparation, sample design, identify appropriate analytic and statistical

methodology, and document process and results

  • Analyze and model structured data using advanced statistical methods, and implement

software/algorithms to perform analysis

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the company to create and implement a

data strategy for the department

  • Create intuitive and impactful reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that monitor and compare key performance indicators

  • Strong knowledge of data visualization, information communication and analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI

  • Create SQL stored procedures, advanced queries, debugging, and optimization

  • Design, update, and maintain relational databases

  • Assist with data and database migrations, testing, and validation

  • Design and implement data models and database architectures to support client projects and initiatives

  • Strong understanding of presenting data sets and stories to management teams

Requirements:

  • Experience working with large datasets

  • Well organized with good verbal and written communication skills

  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • Minimum 4 years experience

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, develop, lead, and execute projects, especially in an agile development environment

  • Preferred corporate legal department or law firm experience

  • Experience with Power Bi, Tableau or SQL

Hybrid three days a week from the Chevy Chase, MD Office

Annual Salary

$103,000.00 - $161,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
