The Opportunity:

CACI has emerging openings for new SHAPEC Team Leads in support of SHAPEC’s Engineering and Planning efforts at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine.   Emerging openings include Leads for existing Mechanical,  Electrical Engineering and Combat Systems teams.  Training and mentoring is available.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, create and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs).

  • Serve as the primary point of contract between the CACI team and the government Branch Head.

  • Monitor schedules, workload, assignments, task distribution, quality and performance. 

  • Maintain CACI and client reporting.

  • Perform Touchpoint reviews.

  • Provide technical and career guidance to team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)

  • 3 years' experience with submarine and/or deep submergence systems

  • Knowledge of US Navy Shipyard applications including AIM Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress etc.

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and experience with MS Office suite of products.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment. Well-developed interpersonal skills Attention to detail. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

Desired: 

  • 5+ years SHAPEC experience

  • Proven leadership traits in an industrial shipyard environment People, Project Process and Task Management experience

  • MBA or PMP or LSS certification

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$65,000 - $136,500
