The Role: "Senior Backend Software Developer "
The Team: The team is responsible for building carbon trading platform using emerging tools and technologies. The team works in a significant environment that gives ample opportunities to use creative ideas to take on complex analytical problems. Responsibilities:
Design and develop solutions within a multi-functional Agile team to support key business needs
Design, and implement software components for content systems supporting a large volume of end-users.
Manage and improve existing solutions.
Solve a variety of complex problems and figure out possible solutions, weighing the costs and benefits.
Engineer components, and common services based on standard corporate development models, languages, and tools
Apply software engineering best practices (including testing) while also leveraging automation across all elements of solution delivery
Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Able to document and demonstrate technical solutions by developing documentation, diagrams, code comments, etc.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's /Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent.
6+ years of coding in Node.js, Microservices, Typescript, API development, restful services, data modelling persistence stores and ORMs
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Have strong analytical skills and learning agility.
Hands on in coding specifically using NodeJS and related technologies.
Excellent command of complex SQL and relational DBs
Ability to work in a collaborative work environment
Optional Qualifications:
Cloud experience in AWS or Azure,
Other JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS, Angular
Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test- driven development.
Java and related technologies
Strong bonus:
Experience with blockchain technology (Ethereum (inc. solidity), chia, Hyperledger, etc.)
