MongoDB’s Enterprise Resilience Team is dedicated to building and maintaining the company’s capability to prepare for, prevent, respond to, and recover from business disruptions and crises, while fostering a culture of resilience and collaboration across the organization.

As the Test, Training & Exercise Manager, you will play a pivotal role in MongoDB’s resilience and preparedness initiatives. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive program of tests, training, and exercises to ensure our teams are well-equipped to respond effectively to emergencies and business disruptions.

This role can be fully remote in the United States. 

Position Expectations/Role Responsibilities/What you’ll do...

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and maintain a business continuity and crisis management test, training and exercise program aligned with best practices and company needs, with an emphasis on program metrics.
  • Develop crisis scenarios and simulations to assess the effectiveness of our response plans across a range of potential disruptions.
  • Create and deliver training programs for employees to ensure they understand their roles and can respond effectively during incidents.
  • Plan and execute simulation exercises with cross-functional teams to enhance MongoDB’s crisis response capabilities.
  • Analyze exercise results and provide detailed performance reports, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actions to strengthen preparedness.
  • Maintain documentation of all tests, training sessions, and exercises, including lessons learned and action items for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to business continuity and crisis management, ensuring MongoDB’s compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance MongoDB’s continuity and crisis management plans based on lessons learned and emerging threats.
  • This position may require occasional travel to various locations as part of the training and exercise program.

Qualifications/Requirements/We’re looking for someone with…

  • Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred)
  • 7-10 years of experience specializing in the development and execution of comprehensive training programs, tests, and exercises to enhance organizational resilience and preparedness
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong exercise facilitation and presentation skills are required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant best practices   
  • Relevant certification preferred [e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), FEMA Professional Continuity Practitioner]

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

$90,000$176,000 USD
