A brand new, world class, state-of-the-art 65,000 ft² Phase I clinic with 100 beds only 7 minutes walking from the train station.

We are looking for a Clinical Operations Manager to lead our Clinical Research Nurses and Laboratory Operations teams in the UK, whilst ensuring that the scientific and medical standards we provide are met.

  • This is a full-time, clinic-based job in Leeds
  • 37 hours per week, predominantly Monday-Friday, but weekends may be required by the business as needed

Your role will be crucial in embodying and instilling our values, ensuring that they guide your team´s day-to-day execution. Align goals and behaviors to execute our strategy effectively

Team Leadership

In your hands is the mission to build and impactful team. You will drive the Fortrea UK Research Nurses and Lab ops teams: your success will be their success.

  • Reporting directly to you, you will oversee the Supervisors Team. Indirectly you will be accountable for a team of 40+ people

We´ll trust you to provide strategic direction, leadership and perform full-cycle performance management (including goal setting, managing KPIs, performance discussions, development and career progression, discipline conversations when needed.)

You will also:

  • Drive continuous improvement and best practices throughout the lab, identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
  • Perform full oversight of on-site client audits

YOU NEED TO BRING…

Our ideal profile combines scientific expertise, people management and ability navigating processes in highly regulated environments.

  • Substantial proven track record of progressive and proven leadership responsibilities in a clinical research, Lab or related business environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, especially developing supervisors who have to oversee large teams.
  • Profound experience in carrying out performance appraisals, team goal achievement initiatives, mentoring and training.

Qualifications

  • BSc in science or medical fields.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
