Role Definition
Participates in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure using appropriate and trending technologies.

Responsibilities
•    Maintain the infrastructure of IT systems that support the business to function efficiently.
•    Design solutions by assessing and aligning the current systems to best practices and comply to Caterpillar policies and procedures and IT general controls.
•    Administrate servers and automated workflow tools; work with server virtualization technologies.
•    Administer updates, upgrades, and other maintenance tasks in both hardware and software areas, to make the network more efficient, cost-effective, and secure.

Desired Skills

Preferred 5+ years of experience

Experience in the following areas:

  • Oracle database 19c and multi-tenant architecture

  • Data Guard setup and administration

  • Working in a Linux environment and shell scripting for automation

  • RMAN backup and configuration

  • Database performance tuning

  • RAC/ASM experience

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager

  • Identifying and deploying Oracle security patches

  • Working in Amazon Web Services (migrating workloads, setting up automation, etc.)

  • Familiar with Oracle EBS 12.2 administration, architecture, support
