Scope of Position 

The Ohio State University (OSU) is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients.  The Administrative Assistant Student Intern will collect clinical and operations data for use in reporting of efficiency and effectiveness of operations. 

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant student intern is responsible for performing non-clinical administrative functions.  These functions include, but are not limited to, information management, and decision support.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire:         Bachelor’s degree preferred and enrolled in college of medicine or possess the equivalent  combination of education.

                        and  experience.  Must demonstrate advanced literacy, math, communication and cognitive skills.

            Must possess office skills including experience with personal computer database, word processing programs, basic typing, budgeting, and handling sensitive contacts with the public and other  work units.  Must have previous supervisory experience in a relevant health care setting.

On going:        Meets mandatory educational and health requirements.  Demonstrates competence in technical,

Interpersonal and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.  Participates in relevant Professional education programs.  Progressive fiscal, budget and office management expertise is required.
