What you will do:

Develop and sustain the overall pricing strategy/ process/ analytics/ reporting to drive market competitiveness and margin expansion through enhanced pricing capability. Lead and drive pricing excellence deployment and pricing strategy aligned to overall JCI pricing strategy and pricing excellence roadmap and capability building. Support the business leaders to develop and deploy pricing related processes, strategies, tactics, policies, and reporting capabilities needed to achieve their financial and operational goals. Work with the leadership team to craft and implement strategic pricing initiatives to position the business for current and future growth and profitability. Work with the business teams to define and report metrics that support business objectives and create performance transparency for effectiveness of pricing actions and discount management activities. Engage sales and regional leaders to establish actions for improvement in areas that show variance to pricing improvement expectations and co-create strategic pricing plans with leadership to drive sustained pricing results.

How you will do it:

  • Set pricing targets, implement pricing strategies and define procedures necessary to ensure consistency across pricing actions and price decision-making
  • Drive strategic pricing capability across the business unit aligned to the overall BSNA strategic pricing capability roadmap
  • Develop the talent and capability within the team to ensure successful implementation of the pricing excellence roadmap
  • Establish LOB and market driven pricing strategies aligned to the strategic growth and margin objectives of the business
  • Operate as part of a focused JCI pricing organization embedded in the business
  • Use multiple systems and databases to provide useful insights through reporting and analytics to build pricing strategy and price guidance models
  • Provide thought leadership and regularly conduct analyses/workshops to identify opportunities, solve problems and improve business performance through strategic pricing actions through quarterly pricing reviews and other vehicles
  • Provide leading and lagging critical metrics for pricing initiatives, compile reports/dashboards and distribute to partners across the organization
  • Monitor and report overall effectiveness of pricing execution, and analyze gaps and transparently communicate price performance against objectives
  • Work with sales/marketing/operations teams to monitor the market trends, competition, quantify the impact to plan and align pricing strategies accordingly

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • Global experience is a plus
  • 7+ years of work experience in analytical roles (sales, marketing is a plus); 5+ years in pricing with experience leading teams and driving pricing capability transformation initiatives
  • Strong research and synthesis skills (translate data into insights and actions)
  • Experience with modeling techniques and pricing frameworks
  • Expert in using analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, R, Alteryx, SAS)
  • Attention to detail, committed and impact driven
  • Capability to operate as an influencer and subject matter expert to drive pricing excellence and capabilities across multiple functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence partners at all levels including BU leadership
  • Executive presence and strong commercial savvy
