THE ROLE

The Sr. Consultant- UX role will be responsible for designing intuitive and efficient user interfaces for our applications and platforms. The incumbent will collaborate closely with cross-functional agile teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and user needs and translate them into user-centric design solutions.

The role will drive user centered design activities/processes to ensure that designated users effectively utilize technology tools for business operations and client engagement while further developing our UX strategy maturity. The role will support usability, online experience, component customization, and client personalization efforts on our technology tools (both desktop and mobile). Additionally, this role is responsible for setting uniform design standards, measuring the adoption of new functionality, and increasing overall user satisfaction and productivity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, key stakeholders, and agile teams to prioritize and gain deep understanding of business needs / technology ecosystem, evolve designs and understand how these translate to implementing UX enhancements and new features.
  • Serve as an UX expert to design compelling user interfaces (wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for desktop and mobile interfaces) for technology applications and platforms utilizing Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design software.
  • Champion design consistency through rigorous adherence to technology guidelines and best practices to ensure a seamless user experience across applications and platforms.
  • Develop detailed user journey maps and personas through user research and existing user journey data.  
  • Lead user research initiatives and usability testing sessions to iteratively improve technology designs and participate in external client feedback sessions where needed.
  •  Lead roadmap planning and prioritization.
  • Create and evolve design systems in working with agile teams.
  • Perform application heuristic reviews and readouts.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • 5-7 years experience.
  • Proven experience as a UX Designer with a focus on technology applications, including supporting a mobile-first approach and responsive design.
  • Proficiency with leading design and UX software, Sketch preferred. Adobe XD desirable.
  • Experience spearheading user research and usability testing initiatives and incorporating feedback into design iterations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and passion for creating exceptional user experiences within the technology application ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in working with Scrum teams and Agile methodology (including partnership with QA Development teams). 
  • Experience in presenting and communicating designs to stakeholders.
  • Experience working on enterprise-system applications.

PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in the financial services industry or a regulated industry, with a strong preference for candidates who have a background in asset management.
  • Prior experience in B2B user design and experience.
  • Experience with multiple distribution and client facing platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Adobe, Seismic).
