Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Technician to join our MK 48 program In Yorktown Va. This position is in the MK 48 Heavyweight Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity with Onsite Technicians who perform various maintenance actions using detailed procedures and will have oversight from a direct Manager in the building of the MK 48 Heavyweight Torpedo.
Responsibilities
- Performing task associated with material receipt, inspection, acceptance, storing, and warehousing material in accordance with Navy directives and other program unique supply and quality documents
- Maintaining pre-expended bins and ordnance alteration martial inventory.
- Complete receipt inspection and stock received materials
- Support customer service requests for parts to support production
- Keep proper inventory records and perform scheduled warehouse inventories
- Utilizing automated information systems to maintain an accurate inventory of material
- Use government provided IT resources, web based & standalone application, and manual report generation processes which are integral program support functions
- Maintain inventories of main HAZMAT material warehouse and satellite lockers within facility
- Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all HAZMAT material within the facility
- Function as a member of a hybrid government, contractor, and USN team
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma and 2 additional years of education, or 5 years' experience in material management/supply requisitioning or equivalent experience
- US Citizenship with current Interim Secret Clearance or higher, and the ability to acquire and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of problems encountered, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
- Skills in Keyboarding, MS Word and Excel
- Ability to qualify as forklift/vehicle operator, including DOT physical
- Ability to pass an Arms, Ammunition and Explosive screening annually
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good working knowledge of the Navy Supply System requirements, polices, nomenclature, working methods, and established procedures & guidelines as stated in NAVSUP P- 485 or equivalent experience
- Current Secret Clearance
- Forklift driving experience
Salary Range: $23.00 - $23.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
