Job Description

We're Norton Rose Fulbright - a global law firm with over 50 offices and 7,000 employees worldwide. We provide the world’s preeminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. At Norton Rose Fulbright, our strategy and our culture are closely entwined. We know that our expansion will mean little unless it is underpinned by truly global collaboration and we understand that pioneering work only takes place when our people have room to move and think beyond boundaries. As well as the relevant skills and experience, we're looking for people who are innovative, commercial and value the work that they do.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a Legal Project Coordinator (“LPC”) to join our growing Legal Project Management capability across EMEA. The LPC will assist with the day-to-day activities of the Legal Project Management (“LPM”) team, which is part of NRF’s Legal Transformation Programme.

The main focus of the LPM team is to support the partners and associates in setting up and managing the delivery of their matters, as well as providing strategic input at a client level. The LPM team has grown rapidly since its inception in 2019 and has made a positive impact on the business. Accordingly, the role of LPC has been created to provide additional support that will enable the LPM team to add further value to the firm.

The successful candidate will be based in our Singapore office and will report to the Head of Legal Project Management in the UK and the Chief Operating Officer - South East Asia.

This is a critical role and provides a great opportunity to help drive change in the delivery of our legal services. The work you will be involved in will vary in accordance with the ongoing projects and initiatives within the LPM team and the business. Training will be provided.

The role will require you to, amongst other things:

  • Support the LPM team and lawyers in managing matters, including drafting agendas and minutes; creating and populating project plans and timelines; monitoring and reporting on scope, workstreams, deadlines and fees; and facilitating the billing process as required.
  • Facilitate communication among internal teams or between internal and external stakeholders to ensure all parties are informed of matter progress.
  • Assist the LPM and Legal Transformation Programme teams in implementing relevant legal technologies on matters.
  • Take ownership of and coordinating smaller discreet projects and Legal Project Management tasks.
  • Analyse and manipulate data sets using bespoke software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power BI, to provide insight appropriate for consumption by different stakeholders.
  • Assist with other special projects as needed.
