Position Summary

Supports program functions of the Business Operations service area within the Operations & Facilities Management Department (OFMD).

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day operational coordination and support to the Business Operations team.
  • Provides administrative support to the Business Operations team, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, attending meetings for agenda and meeting minute support, and other general day-to-day needs.
  • Assists with Auxiliary financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Supports coordination and communication with Campus and Auxiliary partners on a regular basis.
  • Assists with placing work orders and operational requests for Auxiliary outlets and department-managed buildings.
  • Supports space renewal projects and planning efforts on an ongoing basis.
  • Supports the Education & Campus Support Services (ECSS) team with occasional event coverage and coordination.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher-level education and/or facilities and/or customer services and/or a general business setting.
  • Ability to work within a team-based organization and to work independently.
  • Strong writing, typing, and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to choose the best organizational process or work flow for a given context and application.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, critical thinking and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details while maintaining a landscape view of priorities, values and vision.
  • Enthusiasm and ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple functions, audiences and priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours in service to the service area, department and the organization’s mission.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification and three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

G08-H

Salary Range

$21.17 - $32.85 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
