Job Description:
We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager for our Nutraceutical Business Development team to support the Technical Director in spearheading the expansion and enhancement of the Ceolus product portfolio within the nutraceutical industry. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, this role focuses on driving strategic initiatives to develop new and existing business relationships, particularly in the areas of excipients and specialized nutraceutical ingredients. You will be expected to blend technical knowledge with commercial acumen and innovative thinking to contribute effectively to the team's goals.

Essential Duties
- Proactively identify new sales opportunities and nurture existing customer relationships to boost sales, increase profit margins, and foster customer loyalty for the Ceolus product line within both the US and Latin America markets.
- Evaluate customer requirements and anticipate needs, prioritizing exceptional service and satisfaction. Actively pursue leads and opportunities where Ceolus can deliver significant value to customers.
- Assist in the creation and formulation of the business strategy, bringing a high level of technical expertise and market insight to the process.
- Conduct PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) during and after the execution of the strategy to ensure constant evaluation and refinement of the business approach, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all accounts, keeping meticulous account profiles for designated key accounts to optimize engagement strategies.
- Ensure the Technical Director is kept fully informed of activities and outcomes by providing regular reports, such as weekly or monthly work plans, and maintaining updates within the CRM system, such as Salesforce.
- Provide accurate pricing, credit terms, and sales contracts for orders, and process orders efficiently, referencing current price lists and product literature for accurate information.
- Fully understand and comply with pharmaceutical and food industry regulations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Technical Director, FAD
Skills and Abilities
- Competent knowledge in Nutritional and/or Pharmaceutical formulations, with practical lab application and coating experience, enabling the provision of well-informed advice on technical formulation issues to customers.
- Proficient in PC usage with substantial experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.
- Skilled in the use of ERP systems and sales reporting tools such as Salesforce, with familiarity in NAVISION or equivalent platforms.
- Proven capability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
- Culturally aware and sensitive, with the ability to recognize and adapt to diverse interpersonal styles and needs.
- Strong skills in interpersonal facilitation, account development, negotiation, and communication, evidenced in both written and verbal interactions.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of sales experience or technical service to customers in the Nutraceutical industry, or related fields.
- A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (preferred), Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Nutrition or a related scientific field.
Domestic Travel: 25-50%
The role primarily involves travel within the US and Canada. Additionally, travel to Latin American countries, particularly Central America, will be as needed, based on business requirements and strategic objectives.
International Travel: 5-10%
International travel may be required, constituting up to 10% of overall travel.
Location: Remote in the United States
The base compensation range for this role is $100,000-$130,000. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions.
