About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced technical leader to join our Pricing & Promotions team as Senior Engineering Manager. On this team, you'll own, operate, and evolve systems and customer experiences that power our remittance product pricing, helping customers choose the payment methods and delivery options that are best for them. You'll define and guide a vision for the next-generation of these systems, working backward from multi-year product and business goals. You'll transform that vision into a strategy and plan, working with your teams to lead execution through a long-term roadmap. As a senior technical leader, you'll continuously improve our operational excellence, enabling and supporting our continued, rapid business growth. This position is based in our office in Krakow, Poland.
 

You Will:

  • Define a multi-year technology strategy to meet customer and multi-product needs

  • Promote technical innovation by enabling your teams to evaluate new technologies, tools, and processes

  • Lead on decisions related to Remitly's technical direction and strategy

  • Create a positive and rewarding environment for your teams

  • Establish domain and team health expectations and goals

  • Define and meet the hiring plan for the team, accounting for long-term needs

  • Establish ways of working collaboratively with a global workforce


You Have:

  • BS (accepted) or MS (preferred) in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

  • 8+ years of technical leadership experience

  • 5+ years of managing multiple teams and domains

  • Experience hiring and leading Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers

  • Experience with engineering workforce planning and design

  • Examples of creating customer experiences and building distributed systems

  • Experience working with executives to align technical goals with business goals

  • Experience with evolving industry standards and technologies
