Team/Role overview:

The Human Resources (HR) Business Partner is a senior level position responsible for leading the delivery of day-to-day HR support in coordination with the Human Resources Team. The overall objective of this role is to provide a broad range of HR services to Client groups within Citi, with a primary focus on Senior Stakeholders in Technology functions. Key businesses include Citi Technology Infrastructure, Functions Technology, Operations Technology and Production Support.

This is a global role with Stakeholders based in Europe and the US.

The Incumbent will join Citi's HR Partnership & Delivery (HRP&D) organization and will be a culture carrier to our Managers by fostering a culture that champions collaboration and excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver HR services and build capabilities to drive organizational performance through individuals and managers as well as identify issues and recommend solutions

  • Responsible for HR delivery and implementation across the employee lifecycle

  • Partner with business managers to resolve Employee Relations (ER) issues, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and risks are assessed

  • Partner with Country Human Resources Partners, Human Resources Advisors (HRAs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) on HR priorities in respective client populations to ensure delivery and implementation of HR solutions

  • Lead and/or initiate cross Citi projects as well as train new team members

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert to managers and employees

What we'll need from you:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role (HRBP) preferred.

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Working knowledge of HR functions

  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws

  • Experience gained in large, complex financial institutions preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft

  • Fluent English

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred
