We’re looking for a Senior Manufacturing Technician to join our Laguna Niguel, CA team. As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:
Set up, tear down, and extrude medical device tubing per specifications
Experience in multi-lumen extrusion, tri-layer extrusion and bump extrusions
Clean work area, machine and tooling thoroughly
Read product drawings and provided documentation
Follow oral instructions and written instructions provided in work procedures
Complete/fill-out process logs and documentation
Using specific computer applications including MS Office
Inspect product per specifications using microscope, caliper, pin gages
Research and leverage previous methods/processes/equipment/tooling on new applications
Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP): line clearance, work instructions, lot travelers, etc.
Work closely with engineering to develop new process parameters, tooling, and methods for manufacturing
Work with engineers to streamline process to meet manufacturing build time, cost, and yield targets
Work with engineers to generate clear and concise work instructions, test methods, and visual standards
Work with and train other skilled technicians/operators in the assembly techniques, inspection methods and required documentation
Communicate issues to engineering for collaborative continuous improvements
Education and Experience:
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
7-10 years of prior extrusion experience
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Willing to work in a clean room environment
Able to troubleshoot moderately complex issues on existing processes/method/equipment/tooling
Extremely hands on with strong mechanical aptitude
Good written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of good manufacturing principles (GMP)
Attention to detail, professional attitude, team player
