As a Systems Engineer on the Operations Project Execution Team, you will directly support Blue Origin’s success through the translation of internal customer test needs into system architectures, concept of operations, and requirements for test facilities. In this role, you will be a technical project leader actively improving engine and avionics projects daily! You will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems engineering products associated with your projects, including: ConOps, system architecture, requirements development, product verification planning, system activation, and configuration management. These responsibilities will require a wide application of sophisticated systems engineering principles and concepts plus a solid understanding of related subject areas: fluids, structures, mechanical systems, and instrumentation & control.

Responsibilities:
Work with internal customers to develop trade studies, system architectures, concept of operations, specifications, ICDs, and verification plans for new or modification to existing test facilities.
Maintain system engineering artifacts through the life of a project and create content for gated reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, System Activation).
Write verification plans, gather evidence and facilitate the activation of test systems.
Assist in establishing new processes and tools to support the fabrication and operation of complex cryogenic systems while maintaining speed and agility.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field.
1+ years system development/integration experience within the Aerospace, Automotive or similar safety critical industry.
Proven knowledge and application of systems engineering such as: creation of system architectures, requirement definition and decomposition, integration, V&V, qualification, commissioning and/or operations.
Organized self-starter, capable of breaking down complex problems into traceable tasks and concisely communicating project status.
Able to operate in a field test environment on unprepared surfaces and access test stands on stairs and ladders.
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
Experience with collaboration and configuration management tools: Confluence, JIRA, Windchill.
Experience with requirements development and Management Tools: DNG, Jama
Prior experience in design, build or test of fluids and/or cryogenic systems.
Prior experience with test instrumentation, control systems or control software (Labview).
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $81,090.00-$113,526.00Other site ranges may differ
