For our procurement department, we are currently looking for a regional expert for supplier risk management in EMEA and the central point of contact for all related topics. With a structured, data driven approach, you help identify, assess, mitigate, and report supplier risks - enabling informed decisions across Procurement and beyond.

Tasks and Qualifications:

  • Design and continuously improve KION’s supplier risk management framework across EMEA
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supplier risks (operational, financial, cyber, geopolitics, sub‑tier)
  • Develop risk scores, KPIs, and dashboards using internal and external data sources
  • Report the risks and lead Regional Supplier Risk Councils to provide clear, decision‑ready reporting
  • Provide ad-hoc & short-term as well as strategic and long-term risk analyses
  • Integrate risk insights into sourcing, award, and category strategy processes
  • Monitor ad‑hoc risk incidents and coordinate mitigation actions
  • Establish standards for supplier business continuity planning
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for supplier risk management within the organization
  • Manage and further develop external risk intelligence tools and databases
  • Own the Financial Risk Management tool and act as SPOC for users and providers (i.e. create handouts & instructions, provide trainings on financial topics, etc.)

Your Skills and Expertise: 

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Supplier Risk Management
  • Strong knowledge of financial and supplier risk management
  • Experience with risk management platforms (e.g., Everstream, Riskmethods, Prewave, Resilinc or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Structured, precise, and proactive working style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global, matrix organization
  • Very strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, changeable environment – be ready to reprioritize when a risk materializes!
  • Fluent English; German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
