We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Technical Controller with high integrity and professionalism who can join our team in the Dallas Fort Worth Area working in a remote capacity. As the Technical Controller with Surefox, you will be responsible for the accounting records and administrative matters covering all clients, projects, and entities.

This entails coordination of colleagues up, down and laterally throughout our organization, including many employees working remotely in multiple locations, both domestically and internationally. We are looking for someone who has exceptional​ observational skills and pays close attention to detail. The compensation for this position is $141,196.84 annually .

This position Requires you to live in the Dallas Fort Worth Area

What you will do:

  • Prepare significant internal managerial reports using the basic underlying financial accounting records

  • Ensure the basic accounting records are maintained timely, accurately and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures and that the information therein is properly compiled in the related reports 

  • Facilitate the month-end and year-end close process

  • Coordinate and collaborate with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll employees to manage working capital and liquidity

  • Complete periodic bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations 

  • Gather support for all balance sheet items and maintain an “audit ready” balance sheet 

  • Facilitate financial reporting and budgeting at operational and consolidated levels

  • Prepare budget and financial forecasts and report on variances monthly

  • Make debt payments on a timely basis

  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting, including managing the relationship with outside professionals for federal and state tax return preparation

  • Work with external auditors to provide timely responses to requested information

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

  • Administration of detailed manual spreadsheets for GAAP calculations

  • Facilitate external reporting to lenders, analyzing potential add-on acquisitions, presentations for fundraising and related projects

  • Work autonomously and have the ability to effectively handle simultaneous time-sensitive projects in a results-driven, deadline-oriented environment

  • Act as a team member with all Surefox employees

  • Comply with all Surefox policies and procedures

  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with employees in remote locations, both domestically and internationally

  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned

What is required:

  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States

  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Surefox will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all requirements of State and local laws, regulations or codes)

  • Valid and current CPA certificate and license in the State in which the individual practices

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and financial reporting technical skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • 10 or more years of accounting experience

  • Previous Workday Experience

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Must be a self-starter and driven

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities

  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

  • Display sound judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Strong data analysis and forecasting skills

What is Desired:

  • MBA or Masters in Accounting

  • Military background is a plus
