Sanimax is looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Manager in our South St. Paul location. The ideal person for this role is interested in learning about our business, passionate about helping out in the plant when needed, and have a passion for developing employees. They will also have a strong background in maintenance fundamentals and best practices to perform root cause analysis and recommend improvements.

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for:

  • Driving operational performance through coaching, training, delegation and accountability in addressing opportunities and problems.
  • Overseeing cost improvements in the department, developing an accurate forecast, and ensuring budgetary goals are met.
  • Investigating KPI trends and evaluating equipment issues to identify root causes and drive improvements in equipment performance and maintenance processes.
  • Looking for and implementing improvement opportunities.
  • Reinforcing and evolving existing processes for planning, scheduling and executing work to optimize the efficiency of the team and capture information and historical knowledge in the CMMS.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field OR relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ in a leadership role with experience assisting with budgets, budgetary goals, cost reduction.
  • History of attracting, retaining, and developing talented people
  • Ability to analyze KPIs and financial information to make decisions and drive change
  • Strong communication skills within 24/7 team environment, ability to create alignment with key internal departments
  • Computer software skills, experience overseeing planning and scheduling in CMMS
  • Ideal candidate has electrical knowledge and experience understanding automation implications for maintenance
  • Experience managing maintenance vendors and purchasing decisions, following up on performance and costs
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
