Northrop Grumman Enterprise Shared Services is seeking candidates for a Principal/Senior Principal (3/4) role. The selected individual will play a pivotal supporting role to the Manager of the A/P Solutions Team as the Team Lead, supporting purchase order processing activities, reporting functions, and the monthly accrual processes.
Job responsibilities include:
- Support Accounts Payable team in accordance with GAAP, company policies and procedures, corporate disclosure statements, and government regulations including FAR.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to develop innovative solutions to a variety of problems of high scope and complexity.
- Support month-end accruals, audit responses, and manage interface postings.
- Monitor metrics and proactively identify and execute process improvements.
- Participation in the definition, implementation, and optimization of automated systems and processes, and support for special projects, as required.
- Interface with technical administrators on system performance and process maintenance relating to regular and special payable activities.
- Serve as key point of contact for Manager of A/P Support and A/P processors on departmental issues.
- Respond to escalations from our internal customers.
- Be an active leader in team engagement, promoting team unity and collaboration.
This position is located in Irving, TX and will not allow for a full-time telecommuting arrangement.
Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills are required for success in this role in addition to an aptitude for reporting and analytics of Accounts Payable and the related PO and Vendor Master transactions and control points.
This position may be hired at a Principal (level 3) or Senior Principal (level 4) depending on the years of experience each candidate brings.
Basic Qualifications
- Principal Level: BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or related field plus 5 years of related experience is required. We will consider an additional 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Senior Principal Level: BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or related field plus 9 years of related experience is required. We will consider an additional 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with leading teams
- Experience managing multiple assignments and meeting tight deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills and proficient in Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of FAR, GAAP, and SOX requirements
- Experience leading group meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or CPA
- SAP Experience
- Alteryx programming experience
- Experience creating dashboards (ServiceNow or Tableau as example programs)
- Experience in a financial services environment
- Government contracting experience
- Low code/no code programing experience (ServiceNow maintenance or use of Alteryx as examples)
Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $118,700.00Salary Range 2: $98,600.00 - $147,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
