About the Role
The NYTA Creative Strategy team's primary focus is creating proposals, pitches and go-to-market approaches that align brands and their advertising goals with The New York Times’s advertising opportunities. In addition to designing media and custom content strategy, Strategists create collateral for editorial sponsorships, NYT Events, and category-specific NYTA narratives. The team works across all of NYT’s advertisers.
As a TEMP Associate Strategy Director, you will focus on delivering expert strategy support to our public policy and healthcare markets, in addition to supporting work in busy categories like CPG and Finance. You will report to the Executive Strategy Director.
Responsibilities:
Lead proposal development for RFP responses, including coordinating inputs from multiple teams, such as audience insights, TBrand creative partners, sales, and media planning.
Author insight-led creative briefs in compressed timelines.
Consult with NYT Sales Leads to Identify essential information gaps and set up our our teams for success.
Coordinate with company partners across multiple disciplines to ensure presale deliverables meet deadlines.
Support creative partners during brainstorming and ensure custom content concepts align with strategy and client goals.
Understand print, digital, and audio media and fluency in the range of NYT products to recommend channels and placements.
Play the role of a conscious collaborator throughout the presale process.
Provide sector expertise in Healthcare and related categories.
Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
You will report to the Executive Strategy Director
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in the creative industries.
8+ years of crafting campaigns and content solutions for brands.
6+ years of authoring briefs, proposals, and slide presentations for brands
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within a publisher.
Experience working with healthcare and pharmaceutical brands.
The rate of base pay for this role is between $80.00 and $90.00 per hour.
