The Venue Brand Management Onboarding & Training Team is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Onboarding Manager to lead a skills-first onboarding program for our VBM team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a world-class onboarding experience that not only welcomes new hires but also sets them up for success in ways that inspire connection, confidence, and drives results.

As the Onboarding Manager, you’ll ensure the onboarding process is seamless, engaging, and consistent across VBM teams. You’ll also play a key role in fostering connections and capturing data-driven insights to help us keep improving.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Lead an immersive, skills-first onboarding program that quickly ramps up new VBM team members by setting clear expectations, grounding them in team-wide key competencies and role pillars, and providing a roadmap to excel.

  • Coordinate logistics for onboarding activities, including market travel, team introductions, scenario-based trainings, onboarding capstone projects, and cross-department connections, to ensure a seamless process and alleviate administrative duties from managers.

  • Facilitate skill level checks, in partnership with the new hire’s manager, to determine retention of information and understanding of base-line performance expectations.

  • Own all VBM onboarding tasks and workflows in Asana, ensuring that all steps—such as account setup and system access—are streamlined for both new hires and their managers.

  • Create user-friendly dashboards and reports in Asana to provide leadership with actionable insights from onboarding data (e.g. ramp time, skill performance) to improve processes.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline existing onboarding processes to ensure the program scales with the VBM Team’s growth.

  • Partner with the Staffing & Logistics Team to streamline the onboarding process for approximately 100 third-party event staff supporting the VBM Team with in-venue execution.

  • Partner with the Onboarding & Training Team's Training Manager to develop tools and materials that simplify onboarding and accelerate new hire integration.

  • Partner with managers to provide tools, guidance, and support as they onboard new team members, ensuring consistency and success across the board.

  • Own the VBM Team portal quarterly audit process and content intake process, seamlessly working with other departments to ensure all on-the-job resources are current and accurate, while being easily digestible for all new hires.

  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) to key markets to support onboarding experiences and additional coverage as needed.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years in a learning & development, onboarding, HR, or program management role, with experience running interactive programs and working across many teams.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Certification through ATD, Training Industry, or another recognized learning & development/HR organization.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for supplemental resource creation, reporting and presentations, Asana for task management, Canva for creative materials, and SharePoint for resource sharing.

  • Familiarity with Workday or other HR systems is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Facilitation—You excel at leading engaging sessions that encourage participation, build understanding, and drive meaningful outcomes.

  • Instructional Design—you love to make content and training resources more learner-centric.

  • Project Management—you’re great at prioritizing tasks and keeping things moving.

  • Data Analysis—you love metrics and find joy in telling data-driven stories in simple, actionable ways.

  • Personability—you have a warm and approachable communication style that helps new hires feel welcome and connected.

  • Analytical Thinking—you spot gaps and figure out how to fix them.
