RETAIL ASSOCIATE - Airport Kiosk

Denver, CO

Compensation: Compensation for this role is based on the incumbent’s current hourly rate plus $1/hour premium. Sales commission will be a part of the compensation package for this position.

Job Summary:

The Retail Associate - Airport Kiosk creates an otherworldly shopping experience for our guests. Reporting to the Retail Manager, Retail Associate - Airport Kiosk will have extensive knowledge of our products, prepare and display merchandise and assist guests with their transactions. We encourage Retail Associate to elevate the narrative within our story world by and drive sales with a performative and creative flair.

Job Responsibilities:
● Welcome guests to the retail kiosk and answer their questions
● Perform job responsibilities with a creative flair that aligns with the exhibit narrative and drives merchandise sales
● Deliver a memorable guest experience through exceptional customer service
● Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
● Maintain in-stock and presentable conditions throughout the retail kiosk
● Process POS (point of sale) purchases and merchandise returns
● Receive product and stock the sales floor including: processing incoming shipments, merchandising products, re-stocking displays, etc.
● Comply with inventory control procedures
● Report emergencies to the manager
● Respond to injuries and emergencies appropriately
● Collaborate with management and other team members to create and maintain a pleasant environment for guests
● Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

● Strong service skills and welcoming demeanor required.
● Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
● Basic computer skills.
● An interest in the arts.
● Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
● Ability to clear TSA/FBI background check as part of the DEN security badging process

Desired Qualifications:

● Prior work experience in a retail, museum, park, recreation facility, or other public space.
● Prior experience with point-of-sale systems.
● Familiarity with inventory procedures.
● Hidden talents that can be employed as part of the persona including singing, dancing, magic, comedy, conversationalist, impersonator or otherwise.
● Bilingual, especially but not limited to English and Spanish.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
This position is located at Denver International Airport, and works primarily in an indoor setting with exposure to noisy environments, dim lighting, visual effects including strobing lights, special effects, etc.

Physical Demands:
● Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
● Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
● Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
● Positioning or moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Work Schedule:
Schedules are based on business needs. Occasional evening, overnight and weekend work are required as job duties demand.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not require supervisory responsibility.
