We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Financial Analyst to join our Global Front-End Operations Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial analysis activities, providing insights to support business decision-making, and leading cost improvement initiatives at both sites. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Finance Business Partner to the Senior Management Team in Wilmington (wafer fabrication site) and Chelmsford (module assembly site), provide analysis and deliver insight that links financial reports to business strategies;
  • Lead all aspects of financial close and forecasting process. Develop mechanism to facilitate automated financial forecasting modeling and minimize periodical close procedures
  • Analyze variances to plan, partner with operations for root cause analysis, communicate findings to management, providing recommendations for spend improvements.
  • Develop resolutions to complex problems requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of variable factors; Cross-operations and sites financial performance benchmark for high impact processes to identify savings opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing operations leaders at both sites to support business decision-making, including scenario analysis, cost savings projects, process improvements, site loading allocation, make vs buy, financial analysis for long term strategy, and other ad hoc analyses.
  • Drive the standard costing process & costing harmonization/standardization initiatives
  • Facilitate monthly & quarterly inventory cycle counts observed by external auditors. Track all asset movements at both sites and maintain complete and accurate records in the system. Ensure proper accounting in accordance with US GAAP.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial analysis, in a manufacturing environment, preferably wafer fab
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, often taking a lead role in problem resolution for functional/org level issues;
  • Excellent project manager and creative thinker, having the ability to anticipate changes and directs or redirects efforts when needed;
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, having the ability to listen, interpret, influence Senior Management level, negotiate, inspire and challenge;
  • Ability to challenge status quo; comfortable in proposing, justifying and executing improvements in processes.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and standard costing. Government accounting experience is a plus
  • Experience with SAP and Anaplan preferred
