Position Information:

  • 1st shift hours are Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (flexed hours as needed to support off-shift).
  • This is an on-site position in Hodges, SC.
  • This position will pay $29-33 per hour depending on experience and education.
  • Benefits available on Day 1.

Role Summary:

A CAD/CAM Programmer plays a crucial role within engineering, manufacturing, and construction environments by creating technical plans and drawings using specialized software. They transform conceptual designs into precise and detailed schematic drawings, crucial for the accurate construction, production, or engineering of products and structures.

What you will do (includes but not limited to):

  • Use CAD/CAM software (Creo preferred) to model CAD files for manufacturing.
  • Understand and able to use CAD software to model, design and manufacture tooling.
  • Create Toolpath G-code programs using CAM software for manufacturing.
  • Help setup cutting material as needed and generate tool setup sheet for manufacturing instructions.
  • Strong understanding of speed and feed rates for cutting various materials; aluminum, steel, plastic and wood.
  • Knowledgeable on cutting tools capability and help to maintain the tool library.
  • Competently interface with CNC display panels and run machine.
  • Able to manually create G-code programs for 2 and 3-axis CNC machine on the equipment as needed.

What you have:

  • Associate’s degree in Machine Technology or equivalent relevant experience with CAD and CAM machining.
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures and protocol when operating machining equipment.
  • Experiences with CAD/CAM software (Creo).
  • Experience how to run and support manual and automatic lathes, vertical milling machines and CNC equipment.
