Primary Function

The Director Strategic Initiatives is responsible for identifying methods, tactics, and resources to implement key corporate strategies, increase organization efficiency and reduce costs.  This includes directing the functions of project management, tracking outsourcing, operational outsourcing development, operational metric development, and process improvement.   This requires strong interpersonal skills, management, and development of departmental resources, partnering with company leadership, strategic and tactical planning, budgeting, and strong leadership.

Principal Duties

  • Direct and coordinate the strategic initiative process; identify and develop timely business plans to support the strategy.
  • Responsible for understanding the lines of business and anticipated needs.
  • Ability to formulate creative research solutions to help the business accomplish their goals.
  • Research and analyze new business opportunities.
  • Conduct communication sessions to various groups, including Servicing Leadership.
  • Provide direction and support to assure departmental effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • 8+ years’ experience in conducting financial or developmental projects.
  • 5 years Mortgage Banking experience is required.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
