The Avengers Site Lead for Australia will work onsite at the OCONUS location and is responsible for a team of ~15 employees.  The Site Lead is accountable for managing a Team that performs multiple functions. They manage all aspects of the Systems Engineering delivery process, Project Management, Schedule Management, Risk Management, and Configuration Management. The Lead keeps projects on course as he/she tracks progress, anticipates needs, and facilitates communication between the Acquisition Office, Program Managers, Lead Engineers, and the Customer. The Site Lead is also responsible for Enterprise communications between the PMO, overall Program Stakeholders, and that location.  In short, the Site Lead is the “face” of Avengers at the customer Site.   

This position will require a minimum of a 2-year commitment to working OCONUS in Australia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads a Team that manages multiple systems engineer projects with cross-functional teams
  • Identifies problem areas and recommendations for resolving them
  • Reports challenges and solutions to Program Office and Government
  • Actively participates in weekly working group meetings
  • Supports weekly meetings and coordinates with the Customer and other contractors
  • Delivers Weekly Activity Reports to the Program Office and to the Site Customer
  • Provides Program Management Review or other contracts deliverables as required
  • Provides process improvements to leadership based on customer requirements
  • Manages a Risk Management Team that provides assistance to internal and external customers
  • Manages a Configuration Management Team that provides change and configuration item control of documents, software, and hardware to the site Customer
  • Manages a Schedule Management Team that is responsible for providing a Master Integrated Schedule to the site Customer
  • Manages on-site Site Meeting Facilitation Team providing project presentations to Customer leadership
  • Establishes systems engineer project plan templates to provide staff with a repeatable process that is used across all projects

Required Qualifications:

  • An Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and communicate at multiple levels from senior leadership, engineers, and IT Tier 1 personnel
  • Great attitude and Site Customer knowledge
  • 5+ years of project initiation and tailoring
  • 5+ years of experience with tracking project deliverables, milestones, and schedules for systems or software delivery programs
  • 5+ years of experience with requirements review and tracking
  • 5+ years of experience with management for systems or software delivery programs
  • Experience with Program Management, Readiness reviews, and Governance boards
  • Experience conducting Technical Exchange Meetings
  • Experience working in team environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree required in Systems Engineering or the equivalent experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification
  • Ability to create project documentation
  • Ability to prepare and conduct briefings to diverse audiences
