Associate Delivery Manager

Salary: National ranging from £51,200 to £78,700

The team/department

As part of the Data, Technology & Innovation (DTI) Division, we are leading the FCA in harnessing the power of data and advanced analytics to transform financial regulation.  In Intelligence and Digital, a subdivision of DTI, we believe in doing things differently. We believe in collaboration, inclusivity, innovation and using data to be at our best. What you will be doing (the role)

  • Providing a point of escalation for internal and external stakeholders including support to supplier engagement

  • Supporting a Senior Manager in the delivery of the ongoing roadmap deliveries across the Digital Delivery Hub (DDH) within an Agile delivery environment and contribute to the ongoing DevSecOps ambition

  • Supporting in the planning of delivery activity and supporting the Senior Delivery Manager in maintaining delivery roadmaps

  • Actively monitoring and addressing key risks across the DDH and reporting and escalating to senior managers as required

  • Managing the reporting requirements in the DDH and ensure that all the DDH reporting requirements are coordinated and communicated effectively to a range of internal and external stakeholders

  • The above list is not exhaustive, and the Associate Delivery Manager will be expected to be flexible and carry out similar duties (not specifically listed) as and when required to meet delivery goals

The skills and experience you will have  

Minimum

  • Experience with Agile, Lean and DevSecOps practices and can identify the best agile processes to apply

  • Experience in helping teams to manage outcomes through contribution to the creation of roadmaps and delivery plans

  • Experience with acting as a point of contact in a team and experience to be able to translate requests and provide support to the relevant development team or Senior Manager

Essential

  • Agile and Lean Practices: You can identify and compare delivery methods, adapt processes based on context, encourage experimentation, and help teams measure and visualise outcomes

  • Communication: You effectively bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, manage expectations, support communication, and facilitate difficult discussions

  • Delivery Momentum: You monitor team delivery flow, report on progress, and actively manage risks, issues, and dependencies

  • Process Optimisation: You support, challenge, and improve complex processes, helping teams implement new processes and adapt to changes

  • Planning and Problem-Solving: You use data to inform planning, support dependencies, remove blockers, and help teams plan for their capacity, particularly in complex situations

  • Team Collaboration and Leadership: You create a motivated, empowered team, address issues, and ensure the right team composition for successful delivery
