The Opportunity
The Site Finance Manager is the on‑site financial leader for the Minnetonka Plant. Reporting to the Plant Controller, this role ensures the accuracy and reliability of plant‑level financial data, maintains strong internal controls, and partners closely with plant and functional leaders to support both daily operational decisions and long‑term performance. This position is responsible for overseeing the systems and processes that support cost accounting, inventory management, financial planning, capital evaluation, and operational efficiency.
The Site Finance Manager also contributes to the plant’s financial strategy by developing analyses, financial recommendations, and tools that drive continuous improvement and ensure the proper reflection of the plant’s financial results and forecasts. The role coordinates and supports the development of a junior financial analyst, ensuring effective and timely analytical support for plant operations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead development of the plant’s annual operating plan AOP, LBE forecast cycles, and monthly financial reporting.
Analyze actual results across manufacturing and provide actionable insights on variances, cost drivers, and inventory.
Prepare financial models and business analyses to support operational decisions and long-range planning.
Partner with the Plant Controller on financial updates and performance presentations.
Cost Accounting & Product Costing
Maintain cost accounting systems and ensure accurate labor, overhead, and material costing.
Prepare and update product standard costs; analyze cost trends and manufacturing variances.
Ensure production and inventory control data is accurately reflected in financial systems.
Inventory, Production Data & Fixed Assets
Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, adjustments, and valuation.
Validate production reporting and ensure alignment between operational and financial data.
Maintain fixed asset records, including capitalization, tagging, and depreciation accuracy.
Capital Investment & Evaluation
Support financial justification of capital and RCE requests (NPV, IRR, payback).
Assist with capital tracking, reporting, and postcompletion reviews.
Ensure appropriate controls and procedures for capital spending.
Business Partnership & Operational Support
Serve as the primary financial partner for the Plant Director and functional leaders.
Provide guidance on operating budgets, staffing plans, and costsavings initiatives.
Support efforts to improve cost control, operational efficiency, and inventory management.
Develop dashboards, KPIs, and tools that enhance decision-making.
Leadership, Development & Team Coordination
Coordinate and support the hiring and development of junior staff.
Promote financial education and cost awareness across the plant.
Contribute to a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard assets and ensure compliant financial reporting.
Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX, and corporate/division financial policies.
Oversee plant-level financial documentation and support audit activities.
Systems, Tools & Continuous Improvement
Ensure effective use of ERP and financial systems (e.g., SAP).
Improve processes related to reporting, data accuracy, analytics, and cost tracking.
Maximize use of system tools to deliver timely, reliable operational and financial information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
6+ years of FP&A, cost accounting, or operational finance experience (manufacturing strongly preferred). CPA or CMA preferred.
Experience with cost accounting, planning, analysis, and manufacturing systems.
Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to work effectively across all levels.
Additional Skills
Strong FP&A and general accounting expertise.
Strong understanding of product costing, inventory accounting, financial statements, and internal controls.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Results-oriented, selfmotivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Strong business acumen with ability to translate financial insights into recommendations.
Proficient with ERP systems (SAP), advanced Excel, and analytics/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
The base pay for this position is
$99,300.00 – $198,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
